Position 1: Software Engineer (Image Processing)
Design image processing and machine learning algorithms for the development of optical and opto-mechanical systems. Develop software and control algorithms for new systems.
Work together with world-class researchers to develop and expand image processing capabilities for detection of ultra-fine defects in optical products
Research and implement innovative ideas/algorithms to improve measurement quality in systems development
Assist team members in various stages of systems development, including testing, verification and reliability checks
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Engineering with at least 3 years of working experience
Experience with development, implementation and deployment of image processing algorithm
Experience in C/C++ and C# programming
Knowledge in machine vision is preferred
Knowledge in PLC programming is desired

Be part of a local SME organization team of engineers responsible for developing and validating software on sensing products like sensor stabilization and calibration, MCU, display solutions, signal transmission protocols, etc.
Involved throughout the software development on the new product development life cycle, from product conception to product mass production.

A Singapore Citizen with at least an O-Level certificate, NITEC or Diploma in any engineering disciplines.
The successful candidates will be responsible for optical systems assembly in R&D environment and cleanroom setting. Main responsibilities include material inspection and preparation, electrical, mechanical, and optical assembly, generating test data, and preparing assembly for further testing. Additional responsibilities include assisting with various R&D activities in the company.
This position requires a self-motivated, detailed oriented individual with the ability to work in a busy and rapidly changing R&D environment.
Key training will be provided for candidates to perform their job.
Essential Job Functions
Assemble optical systems according to assembly instruction.
Ability to utilize sensitive production equipment such as fibre splicers, re-coaters and test and measurement instruments.
Maintain data systems to record and report test results.
Understand and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and other material used for the production of complex systems involving electronics, mechanical assemblies and optical components.
Perform incoming inspection for mechanical, electronics, and optical components utilizing standard inspection tools.
Support R&D activities by building assemblies based on engineering instructions and performing engineering-designed tests.
Follow cleanroom protocol.
Properly handle critical and fragile optical components and sensitive laboratory equipment.

Job, Remuneration and Benefits:
Candidates will be contracted for 1 year of service.
5 days work week.
